This painting is from a slide I took years ago on the Inspiration Traverse. This trip through the center of the North Cascades in Washington has inspired many of my paintings. Such an apt name.

This was painted from sketches and photos I took on one of my many trips to the Artist Point and Lake Ann area of Mt. Baker National Park in Washington. It is often rainy and cold there, even in the middle of summer. The climate makes for a great ski area however, if you don't mind skiing in a whiteout.

This is a view from the Opabin Plateau in Little Yoho Park in Canada. The most beautiful place in the fall with the larch turning shades of yellow through bronze.
